Machine Operator
Description:
Machine operator will be responsible for slitting, re-winding, spooling and packing products from master rolls
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently operates all slitting and spooling equipment for all types of Xamax materials
- Understands and follows printed work orders and work instructions
- Verifies material identity and quality
- Accurately records quality measurements and working time as required
- Packages products per written instructions
- Keeps work area clean and organized
- Follows safety instructions
- Recognizes and reports equipment problems to Maintenance Department
- Works with fellow team members to maintain machine up time and productivity
Consults with:
- Team Leader
- Scheduling and Production Manager
- VP – Operations
Qualifications:
- High School or equivalent education
- Must be able to read, write and understand English work orders and work instructions.
- Must be able to use and read measuring tools such as rulers, calipers & weighing scales
- Must be able to lift 70 lbs unassisted
- This position is based in Seymour CT, candidates must be within commuting distance
