EcoSeal® For MRE Material (Meals Ready To Eat)
Flameless ration kits rely on chemical reactions created when water or another ingredient is added to magnesium-iron pads to generate enough energy, up to 100 degrees, to heat precooked meals in about 10 minutes. MRE are used by service members across all branches of the military, disaster relief organizations and outdoor enthusiasts. Xamax created a low temperature heat sealing fabric that will bond to itself and other materials. It is high strength and naturally water repellent. EcoSeal® reduces cost and simplify a manufacturing process that has multiple steps or materials.
EcoSeal® is a non-woven is used in flameless heater pouch construction. It provides the right amount of water absorption to activate the powder mixture creating the required heat to be used in conjunction with a food packet.
