NOMEX® brand papers are high temperature, aramid paper products with superior thermal, dielectric and tensile strength. These papers are used in electrical construction where high temperature and flame retardancy is required.
Nomex® 410 Paper
NOMEX® Type 410 is a a UL recognized 220 C aramid based, electrical insulation. It is a calendared paper that offers high inherent dielectric strength, mechanical toughness, flexibility and resilience. Type 410 is the original form of NOMEX® paper, widely specified as the benchmark insulation for electrical equipment. Type 410 is fully compatible with transformer fluids such as mineral, silicones and other synthetic oils. This is the preferred product for dry-type, air cooled transformer insulation S systems.
Nomex® 411 Paper
NOMEX® Type 411 is the un-calendared precursor of the Type 410. It has reduced electrical and mechanical properties, compared to Type 410. Typical applications include motor phase insulation and transformer coil end filler, where high bulk and conformability are of prime importance. Type 411 is fully compatible with transformer fluids such as mineral, silicones and other synthetic oils.
Nomex® 414 Paper
NOMEX® Type 414 is designed for applications requiring a flexible and conformable material. It is electrically and thermally similar to Type 410, but is calendared under different conditions to provide unique fold endurance. Type 414 was designed for use as motor slot liner and for linear wrapping of wire in transformers. Type 414 is compatible with transformer fluids such as mineral, silicones and other synthetic oils.

Heat Sealable Papers
Xamax’s heat sealable papers are coated on either one or two sides. These papers adhere to various substrates with the simultaneous application of heat and pressure.
