Xamax Industries Hires Linda Edwards for Business Development Sales

Seymour, CT — September 1, 2025

Xamax Industries, a leading supplier of advanced material solutions for thermoplastic and thermoset composites, wire & cable, and specialty interleaving applications, is pleased to announce the appointment of Linda M. Edwards as Business Development Leader.

With more than 15 years of experience in business development, key account management, and global market expansion, Edwards brings proven expertise in driving adoption of high-performance materials across multiple industries. Her career spans leadership roles in specialty additives, flame-retardant polymers, compounding, and composites—making her uniquely positioned to accelerate Xamax’s growth strategy.

Most recently, Edwards served as Senior Business Development Manager at Avient Corporation, where she developed and executed strategies to launch new non-halogenated flame-retardant masterbatch products for polyolefins. She successfully identified and engaged top OEMs across building & construction, automotive (EV), appliance, and specialty markets. Prior to Avient, Edwards held senior roles at PMC Polymer Products, Adhesives Research, and Maroon Group, where she consistently delivered revenue growth, expanded into new markets, and led the commercialization of innovative materials.

“We are thrilled to welcome Linda to the Xamax team,” said Margaret Pederson, President & CEO of Xamax Industries. “Her depth of experience in composites and specialty polymers, combined with a strong record of building strategic partnerships and growing key accounts, will be instrumental as we expand our market presence and deliver new solutions to our customers.”

Edwards’ background reflects a career-long focus on developing multilevel customer relationships, advancing international sales strategies, and introducing technically complex products into new applications. Her experience includes successfully driving adoption of fire-retardant composites, adhesives, and specialty materials across electronics, consumer products, alternative energy, and building materials markets.

“I am incredibly excited to join Xamax at such a pivotal stage,” said Linda Edwards. “I look forward to leveraging my experience to drive new business growth, strengthen our customer partnerships, and support Xamax’s long-term success in composites, wire & cable, and beyond.”

Edwards earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Cleveland State University and has remained actively engaged in her community, including volunteer service with Hospice of the Western Reserve.
